Glacial acetic acid is high-purity acetic acid with the chemical formula CH₃COOH; at room temperature, it is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor, and it solidifies into ice-like crystals at temperatures below 16.6°C.

Chemical raw materials: Synthesis of vinyl acetate, acetate esters, cellulose acetate, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and solvents.
Food industry: Food-grade product used solely as an acidity regulator (GB 1886.10); safe when used in appropriate amounts according to regulations. Strictly prohibited for use in the preparation of edible vinegar (explicitly banned under GB 2719-2018).
Medical/Pharmaceutical: Used after dilution as an adjunct treatment for fungal infections (e.g., onychomycosis) and as a reagent for pathological screening.
Other: pH adjustment in printing and dyeing, metal surface treatment, water treatment, etc.
